Two-Day Expo and Annual Race
Enjoy Live bands during the Annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland Half Marathon
Rock your run by taking part in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland Half Marathon and 10K Run. Part of the most popular running series in the world, participants rock out along one of two routes. Both trampoline for water the 6.2-mile and 13.1-mile courses are surrounded by a variety of bands from Portland’s diverse music scene. Unique routes feature two of Portland’s bridges, the city’s ‘front yard’ (Tom McCall Waterfront Park) and inner Southeast neighborhoods, which reflect the cool character of the Rose City!
Race Day (Sunday, May 17)
8:15 a.m. – Half-Marathon Start
8:30 a.m. – 10k Start
9:00 a.m. – First Runners Cross Finish
10:15 a.m. – Post Race Concert
The event concludes Sunday morning with the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series headlined by Portugal. The Man at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
A Signature Rose Festival Event, the race features live bands interspersed with fanfare and entertainment along the route. One in five participants will be running their first half-marathon this year. Almost two in three entrants are female. Over 50 percent of runners will be traveling from outside the region (meaning more than 6,976 hotel rooms are filled with runners over the weekend).
Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland Half Marathon Expo
Coming on Friday and Saturday (May 15 and 16, 2015) is the Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland Half Marathon EXPO, held at the Oregon Convention Center (in Hall D-E) located at 777 Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Portland, OR 97232. Admission is FREE! (Parking is $10.) The Oregon Convention Center is conveniently located on the TriMet MAX light rail.
Friday (May 15): 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday (May 16): 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
More than 60 exhibitors will be at the expo offering free samples and showcasing the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health and nutritional information, plus much more! Participants can pick up last-minute race essentials before race day, and visit the Brooks Official Merchandise Store.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All runners must visit the expo to pick up their race number, gear bag and t-shirt.
