CityFair helps visitors stay cool — Starlight Parade Fans are asked to CHEER at 9:50 P.M. in celebration of our Grand Marshal!
CityFair will provide more than one way to COOL DOWN in the anticipated heat this weekend! Rose Festival is providing refill stations for visitors to use with any EMPTY (only) bottle brought along. [Please Note: No bottles containing liquid are allowed inside the park.] Slide under a mister for a quick and refreshing moment.
Rose Festival goes under the stars for its second weekend with the 40th anniversary of the Portland General Electric/SOLVE Starlight Parade stepping off at 8:30 p.m., following the colorful and fun Starlight Run kicking off at 7:45 p.m., Saturday June 4. (Please note that Run water will be available at both the Jumpers for sale start and finish areas, but not along the event course.) Celebrating 20-years of clean and green, the Starlight Parade will feature three sections: Spirit of the West presented by Spirit Mountain Casino, Portlandia presented by CareOregon, and Starlight Stars presented by Portland International Film Festival.
Join with the Rose Festival for a Moment of Celebration and give a CHEER at exactly 9:50 p.m., to recognize this year’s Grand Marshal for the 2016 PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade: The Portland Police Bureau. Portland’s Official Festival could not exist without the support and partnership of Portland’s finest! This year, the Starlight parade will turn the focus on the working men and women in blue at 9:50 p.m. With the help of curb side spectators, we’ll thank them for helping keep the streets safe for all parade fans!
