To launch the return of Portland’s Official Festival, Bank of America and the Portland Rose Festival Foundation are pleased to welcome the Oregon Symphony to the RoZone stage in Tom McCall Waterfront Park on Thursday evening, May 26, 2022 for a FREE Rose City Reunion Concert.
Everyone is invited!
The concert will feature the world premiere of “From One Rose,” an original song written by Rose Festival Board Member Ron Carr and arranged by Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated composer Bruce Broughton. Associate Conductor Norman Huynh will lead the Oregon Symphony in performing a range of songs from John Williams and some other popular orchestral pieces.
Because of the delicate nature of the instruments the orchestra uses, most symphony concerts in the Pacific Northwest are performed indoors, requiring a ticket to attend. Thanks to the Oregon Symphony’s partnership with the Rose Festival and the support of Bank of America, we are honored to be able to offer this free gift to the City of Portland with this very special open-air concert to kick-off the Rose City Reunion.
Considering this is Oregon, there is a plan B. If the weather forces the concert indoors, the performance will be held in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall at the same date and time.
SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR PREMIER SPONSORS
