Volunteer with the Rose Festival

We Love Our Volunteers!

The Portland Rose Festival relies on thousands of dedicated volunteers to bring our events and programs to life. Right now we're in prime preparation time, and are looking for volunteers to help make Festival events a success. “Successful communities are built on strong partnerships."

You can volunteer on your own, with your friends and family, or with a community group. The more the merrier!

In exchange for their time, volunteers will receive community service hours, tickets to CityFair, reserved seats at the Grand Floral Parade, and t-shirts (for those helping with clean-up).

Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who help make the Rose Festival a success!

If you'd like to join the grandest group of volunteers who help produce the Portland Rose Festival each and every year, just tell us a little bit about yourself below, and let us know what areas of interest you have! For more information about what each volunteer opportunity entails, check the list below the form.

Does your entire office, church group, sports team or service group want to volunteer?

For group volunteer opportunities, please indicate your group details in the form below or email our Volunteer Coordinator Dani at volunteer@rosefestival.org

Along with your crew chief, you'll help paint the base colors for each float, then apply the matching organic materials which may include seeds, beans, rice and of course FLOWERS!

Cleanest & Greenest Team

The Rose Festival values environment responsibility and we pride ourselves on being recognized internationally for our famous parade cleanups! A big part of this is empowering parade-goers help us keep the streets clean.

The Cleanest & Greenest Team for CareOregon Starlight Parade will distribute bags along the route pre-parade and encourage parade viewers to pack their garbage out and as we Oregonians like to call it, Leave No Trace! The team will also lead the end of the parade ahead of the street cleaners to help them with final pick-up.

Everyone on the team will get volunteer t-shirts and special reserved seating to view the parade in style!
