All of Portland and visitors alike are invited to share in this one time Centennial Event that will feature elements over the past 100 years. You can view up close many of the floats from the Grand Floral Parade, wander back through the century with a display of vintage automobiles from each decade and be delighted with a theatrical production “Vaudeville Rose”. The Exposition will also include historical memorabilia, a Past Courts Reception, a fabulous gift shop and so much more!

A Decade at a Time
Enjoy our fabulous exhibits of historical memorabilia and Classic Cars. Each decade will be represented through Rose Festival memories as well as major headline stories from that time. The Classic Cars representing each decade were carefully chosen to bring back memories of your favorite automobile.
Vaudeville Rose
Prepare to laugh, cry and be amazed with this salute to the early 1900’s in this one of a kind theatrical production titled “Vaudeville Rose”, produced and directed by local physical comedian, actor and director, Angel Ocasio. Angel hopes to include all types of variety acts from sword swallowers, jugglers, magicians, dancers, comedy acts, musical acts, and tribute to famous vaudevillians like Groucho Marx, Fannie Brice and Abbott and Costello. The General Shoppe
Visit our General Shoppe both inside the exhibit hall and out front for fabulous rose themed gifts. This unique shop will feature special commemorative Rose Festival merchandise as well as special gifts that feature the Rose. Floats
Several floats from the magnificent Grand Floral Parade will be on display for you to view up close! Plan on seeing floats from the George Morlan Plumbing, Portland General Electric, Reser's Fine Foods and many more.
Past Courts Reception
If you were a member of the Senior Court or the Junior Court, we are planning a special Reception to honor you! The Past Courts Reception will be held on Sunday, June 10, during the Centennial Exposition at the Oregon Convention Center. Registration for the reception is free and includes admission to the Centennial Exposition! Plan to bring your scrapbooks and photos to share. We will also be scheduling some special reunion photos for Junior Court members and gathering the Senior Court members by year and decade. If you have court memorabilia—such as scepters, crows or wardrobe items—that you are willing to loan us for display, please let us know.

Volunteers
We need you! Come volunteer at the Centennial Expo as a Greeter, Ticket Taker or a Historical Host. We are looking for good people to help tell the story of the Rose Festival and the City of Portland. Each area in “A Decade at a Time” will need a volunteer to help explain the significance of that period of time. A script will be given to you and you will serve as a “historical host” to the public.
