Rose Festival KPTV/FOX12 Agree to New Four-Year Deal
KPTV/FOX 12 and the Portland Rose Festival Foundation signed an extension of their current agreement (Monday, November 17), locking up another four years of telecast rights to the Festival’s three iconic parades. This agreement will provide the Festival with a solid long-term marketing footprint, to get its message out to a changing and engaged community.
“KPTV is our largest in-kind sponsor-contributor,” said Jeff Curtis (Portland Rose Festival Foundation CEO). “Locking this arrangement in gives us a solid base that we can plan around and build on. We’re excited to continue to grow this great relationship.”
Besides showing the three unique Rose Festival parades live (PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade, Fred Meyer Junior Parade and the Spirit Mountain Casino Grand Floral Parade), KPTV also produces water trampoline with slide various Public Service Announcements, plus two Rose Festival Specials that air during Festival time in May and June. The FOX 12 news team is consistently on the spot with coverage of all Rose Festival public events, including carrying the CityFair opening ceremonies and the Queen’s Coronation live.
“This is a natural partnership because both FOX 12 and the Portland Rose Festival are local organizations committed to enhancing our local community,” said Andy Delaporte (Vice President and General Manager of KPTV/KPDX).
