Rose Festival Half Marathon Announces Beaverton Route
Brand New Running Route Set on Fast and Scenic Course
Rose Festival Half Marathon and the City of Beaverton have set the course, and runners are going to like it! Premiering in the bucolic neighborhoods of south Beaverton, the brand-new route gives runners a mix of wide boulevards, tree lined neighborhoods and wetland trails. The Portland Rose Festival is bringing runners together from the Portland-metro region and beyond for a one-of-a-kind half marathon experience Sunday, May 28. Runners and walkers alike should add the Rose Festival Half Marathon to their “bucket list.”
This fast, scenic course begins at Southridge High School, home of the Skyhawks, then travels through the Greenway neighborhood and up Hall Boulevard toward the south edge of Old Town Beaverton. Breathe in the aroma of freshly baked bread from the Oroweat Baking Company as you make your way to the Fanno Creek Greenway Trail, where the sights and sounds of nature will soothe you from mile 7.5 to mile 9.5. When Southridge High comes into view, you are in the home stretch to the finish line.
