Court Mission

The mission of the Rose Festival Court program is to provide scholarships for higher education, to promote community outreach and volunteerism, to offer networking and mentoring opportunities to outstanding young women in a program that perpetuates an appreciation for Rose Festival history and tradition.

The Rose Festival Court comprises up to 15 outstanding women who are selected from Portland-Metro area high schools. After being selected in March, Court Members attend after-school and evening orientation meetings during the month of April. Beginning May 1, Court Members travel full-time 6 days a week for 6 weeks, visiting community events, business leaders, hospitals, senior living centers, youth organizations and civic groups. Court Members also receive one-on-one mentorship from Pacific Power's senior management team, a $3,500 scholarship valid for any accredited college, university or trade program, a complete wardrobe including shoes and accessories, and a lifetime of enduring friendships with their Rose Festival Court sisters.

Calling All Ambassadors, Princesses and Queens

The 50-year Rose Festival Court is featured annually in the KeyBank Grand Floral Parade, and we are currently seeking members of the 1960 Rose Festival Court.

Yes -- we're still looking for past Court Members! If you were a member of the Senior or Junior Courts, we want to keep track of you as an IMPORTANT member of the Rose Festival Family! The history of the Rose Festival -- including the Rose Festival Courts -- is very important! We're anxious to continue to accept historical donations for future generations to share. Additionally, we have an on-going project to scan loaned scrapbooks and photos. We need YOU to realize the dream of turning our history into a digital format -- and we're always looking for VOLUNTEERS who can assist us with this meaningful work.

Please feel free to email Marilyn Clint at MarilynC@rosefestival.org to update your contact information.

Thank you!
