The Rose Festival is proud to host the Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Race -- celebrating their 20th year in 2008!
Almost 100 teams compete (including local, national, and international teams) with heats of four teams competing every nine minutes. These races are held on the Willamette River (near the Hawthorne Bridge), in boats graciously provided through the Portland-Kaohsiung Sister City Association.
This year we invite you to purchase the specially designed exclusive ornament of the 2008 Dragon Boat Race, created by Betty Woods Gimarelli of the Portland Ornament Company.
This is a 24-karat, gold-plated, enamel silkscreen Limited Edition ornament. Each one is hand-numbered and comes packaged in a decorative box with gold foil seal hangs on a red ribbon.
