Starlight Parade

Illuminating the streets of Portland with music, colorful lights and larger-than-life floats, the Portland Rose Festival's annual Portland General Electric/SOLV Starlight Parade took over downtown Portland's streets on May 31! Here's the list of the judging results...

2008 Float Awards:

Commercial Division

  • Commercial Sweepstakes Award (Best Commercial Float): Daimler Trucks North America
  • Mayor's Award (Commercial Float w/ Best Illumination): Speeds Supertow
  • First Place: Maletis Beverage and Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales
  • Second Place: IKEA Portland Rose Festival Court Float
  • Third Place: Schnitzer Steel

Festival Division

  • Festival Sweepstakes Award (Best Community Float): Washington State Autumn Leaf Festival
  • Queen's Award (Community Float w/ best illumination): Capital Lake Fair
